Commemorating Terri Schiavo: 20 Years Later
Join us as we honor the life and legacy of Terri Schiavo on the 20th anniversary of her tragic passing by government-sanctioned starvation. This special exhibit sheds light on her story, offering an opportunity for reflection, remembrance, and education.
Exhibit Highlights
- Meet Terri’s Family: Spend time with Terri’s loved ones as they share memories, insights, and unwavering advocacy for the sanctity of life and saving those at risk after experiencing a brain injury.
- Media Mementos: Explore artifacts from the intense media coverage that surrounded Terri’s case, including news clippings and footage.
- Terri’s Artwork: View a collection of Terri’s personal creations, offering a glimpse into her vibrant spirit and talent.
- Photographs: Browse through a visual journey of Terri’s life, celebrating her joys and milestones.
- Educational Displays: Learn about the widespread media misrepresentations that led many to mistakenly believe Terri required advanced life support. The truth is, Terri’s basic need was for food and hydration, just like every other human being. Due to the denial of physical therapy by her legal “advocate,” she faced swallowing challenges and required only a feeding tube to receive nourishment.
- Exciting news: Learn about the Terri Schiavo Home for the Brain Injured to be located in the Saint Padre Pio Home for the Relief of Suffering Medical Center, being planned for the Lansing Diocese. We are seeking foundational donors!
