Catholic Healthcare International 636.220.6550

Jere Palazzolo Named to CMA Steering Committee on National Healthcare Reform

Follow us!

On October 11th, prior to its 85th Annual Conference in Washington, DC, the Catholic Medical Association (CMA) conducted a Forum on Healthcare Reform.  Mr. Palazzolo joined approximately forty leaders from across the country, including Bishops & religious, USCCB executive leadership, national public policy leaders, physicians and hospital/healthcare system leadership.  The group entertained cma-logocomprehensive discussions on the current state of healthcare in our country, and more specifically, the state of Catholic healthcare delivery, and considered initiatives to enhance the delivery of Catholic healthcare through reform.  Our Catholic Healthcare International (CHI) Casa USA vision for faithful Catholic healthcare delivery was considered by the Forum as a potential key component for the national plan.  Mr. Palazzolo was appointed to the eight member Steering Committee for National Healthcare Reform which will formulate and draft the plan, and guide its implementation on behalf of the Catholic Medical Association.  Future updates will be provided as the work of the Steering Committee progresses.  Your prayers are greatly appreciated.
